BATCH WORK
Quote a batch without counting costs twice
Keep per-part costs separate from costs that belong to the whole order.
Updated 5 November 2026 · All numeric examples are illustrative.
Slice the actual batch
Use the real part count, total printing time and support and waste amounts from your sliced order. If the order needs several plates, add their times and their material usage. Do not multiply one part’s time by the order quantity and treat it as an exact estimate.
Choose the right unit for each input
Model filament, finishing and packaging are entered per part. Print time, supports, purge, setup, shipping and other costs are entered for the entire order. Fixed payment fees are charged once in this estimate.
Compare orders with real inputs
For a four-part order, 50 grams of model filament per part plus 32 grams of supports and waste means 232 grams in total. Changing the quantity to eight changes model material, finishing and packaging, but does not automatically re-slice print time or waste. Update those batch fields yourself.
Keep the quote internally consistent
The calculated unit price rounds up to cents. The customer’s order total is that unit price multiplied by the quantity. Shipping expense is already included in this price; the quote does not add a second shipping line.
Put your own time, material and business costs into the estimate.
